With words that we live by, like “don’t allow others to dictate your style”, Stef Pharr was destined to make a real connection with September Set and take us on a journey like non-other. Truth be told, creating a vision for a photo shoot is no easy task considering the larger than life personalities and specific tastes of us ladies at September Set. We’re talking about illustrating a look and a feeling, something far from fantasy…beauty inside and out. Staging our authentic essence and energy is far from simple. Stef Pharr was not only up to the task but welcomed it as she reminded us to “just rock it…have fun. Don’t look like everyone else”. A perfect storm is the best way to describe September Set’s collaboration with stylist Stef Pharr in preparation for Spring/Summer2019 style.

Described well as our style whisperer, Stef took the time to truly understand September Set. She not only offered us the opportunity to tap into our best selves, she provided an opportunity to illustrate our best selves in way that we didn’t imagine. With what began as a friendly conversation unfolded into comprehensive conference calls, meetings and shopping to get the looks that were not only on trend but the best representation of our essence. Ultimately, reframing our perspective of a photo shoot from fantasy to true to life.

With a journey that included a lot of brainstorming on looks and edits to pieces, Stef pushed through and created a tailored look for September Set. She hit it outside of the ball park with her Festival Season Style picks that allowed us to tap into our fun loving, creative, nostalgic yet practical sides. We are excited with her wearable, chic, interchangeable pieces that can be worn indoors, outdoors, during a hot sunny day in a park or a chilly night in a desert. Ultimately, we were not only prepared for Spring/Summer2019 but ready to redefine it.

Thanks to Pharr, it wasn’t simply an education on style that we obtained on this journey. Cheers to Stef, whom with her strong work ethic and outstanding creative eye, truly took the time to understand, visualize and provide an opportunity for us to be our best. Ahhhhh...Festival season has finally arrived so what are you wearing?

The time has come where we can shed some of those extra clothes that have been keeping us warm during those cold months and pull out those must have pieces that we've been dying to wear.

Either Boho chic, Streetwear flare, the ever so popular and always classic, the Canadian Tuxedo, it's time to enjoy some fun in the sun while looking good!

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely ladies of September Set - Crystal and Tarisai.

The looks were chosen after reviewing the Spring/Summer Fashion Trend edits.

I wanted to keep the looks classic, but fitting for both personalities. We decided on looks that could be paired with other items in their closet and still be conducive for their lifestyle. Ladies and Gents...you do not have to break the bank to look good. The best advice for all fashion mavens I can lend:

* Find your style that will be appropriate for your body type

* Looks that will compliment your personality

* That will not break the bank – shop vintage and even thrift…Trust me you will find a ton of pieces you can wear

* Then add a pop of color on the side!

When you look good, you feel good and these ladies look Great!!!
